Derby Gets Enterprise Zone
As part of the Autumn Statement earlier this week, Derby was the only location to be granted Enterprise Zone status for the brand new £200 million Infinity Park Derby site.
Enterprise Zone status allows firms considering moving to the development to benefit from tax breaks, business rates discounts and enhanced capital allowances.
A ceremony was held earlier this week to mark the beginning of construction of the RGF-backed Infinity Park development in Derby. The project is a partnership between Bondholders, Derby City Council and Rolls-Royce as well as the Harpur Crewe Estate, joint developers include Bondholder Cedar House Investments along with Peveril Securities and Wilson Bowden.
The 250-acre technology park will support the region's advanced manufacturing and engineering sectors and support up to 8,000 jobs.
