Formed in 2014, Bulkhead is a videogame developer which began by creating indie titles The Turing Test and Battalion 1944.

The studio, which was acquired by Splash Damage in 2022, now employs more than 120 staff, who are working on their own title called Wardogs.

Rebuild East Midlands

Rebuild is a charity which works across Derby and Derbyshire providing long-term support to adults who are recovering from the impact of modern slavery.

This includes practical, advocacy and emotional support, activity and group sessions, as well as therapeutic, coaching and wellbeing support.

SV2

SV2 is a charity which supports victims of sexual abuse regardless of sex, age, time of abuse or whether or not crimes have been reported to police.

It provides a range of therapy services for adults and children including art therapy for children aged 0-13. Its therapy services are funded by various agencies and other charities.

Vic Handley

In December, 2024, 69-year-old Vic Handley, from Derby, will attempt to row 3,000 miles single-handed, from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands to Antigua, in the Caribbean.

Organised by Atlantic Campaigns, he will be taking part in the event in aid of four charities: Umbrella, Derby County Community Trust, Enthusiasm Trust and Mind Derbyshire.
