Weekender confirmed to return in 2024
The dust may have only recently settled on this year’s Darley Park Weekender – but Derby LIVE has already confirmed that the event will return in 2024.
Over the August bank holiday weekend, thousands of people flocked to Darley Park to enjoy three days of live music, celebrating the 1980s, the 1990s, as well as classical music.
Now, it has been confirmed the event will return next year, with acts already booked and tickets available to buy.
Once again taking place over the August bank holiday weekend in 2024, it will begin with the 80s Mix Tape on the Friday, which will see Jason Donovan, Chesney Hawkes and Scott Mills take to the stage.
Ultimate 90s will take place on the Saturday and will see another crop of top names heading to Derby, with Honeyz, Chris Moyles and special guests Blue on the line-up.
The event will conclude on the Sunday with The Darley Park Concert, featuring classical music performed by Sinfonia Viva and the traditional fireworks.
Councillor Nadine Peatfield, cabinet member for city centre, regeneration, culture and tourism at Derby City Council, said: “We’re so excited that the Darley Park Weekender is coming back next year.
“It really has become a highlight of Derby’s calendar and is enjoyed by thousands of people, both from the city and the wider area.
“With next year’s line-up looking so brilliant, I’m sure many people will soon be booking their tickets for 2024.”
