Wavensmere appoints land director

Housebuilder Wavensmere Homes has announced the appointment of its first land director.

The firm, which is behind Derby’s Nightingale Quarter development, has appointed Katie Dean to the role.

She will be tasked with developing a national land strategy for Wavensmere, including land appraisals and acquisitions.

She said: “Wavensmere Homes made its reputation restoring historic and characterful buildings but is increasingly moving into the volume homes market.

“I am looking forward to assisting the business and its passionate team as they embark on this new trajectory.”

Managing director James Dickens said: “Land acquisition is crucial to the continued growth of the company to secure new and exciting opportunities.

“Katie’s experience in urban placemaking, listed building regeneration and master planning is a perfect fit.”
