Water specialist to create own regional headquarters in Derby

A national provider of water, wastewater and environmental services has signed a deal for a prominent Derby office building in order to create its own regional headquarters.

MWH Treatment has agreed a lease on a 10,400 sq ft office building in Sir Frank Whittle Road/Stores Road.

The building was originally leased by Barclays Bank as a banking centre but was more recently occupied by the Department for Work and Pensions for use as a Job Centre.

The deal was secured by Salloway Property Consultants.

Hugo Beresford, associate director at Salloway, who acted on behalf of a private pension fund client, said “This letting represents one of, if not, the largest single office letting which has occurred within Derby in the last 12 months and I am delighted that I was able to negotiate and agree terms with such a high-quality tenant.”

MWH Treatment, part of the RSK Group, has leased the property as part of a strategic relocation and to create its own new regional headquarters, capable of accommodating its growing team and allowing for more collaboration, advanced technology integration and an enhanced working environment.
