Virtual dinosaur trail roars into life
The Cathedral Quarter is inviting youngsters to explore the city centre discovering dinosaurs.
The Dino World Trail is an augmented reality event which invites participants to discover hidden dinosaurs using smartphones.
Organised by the Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District, the trail encourages both families and solo adventurers to seek out special QR codes displayed in the windows of shops, restaurants, and other businesses in the Cathedral Quarter.
This free immersive event is available now until Sunday 8 September and follows the hugely successful Jurassic Day event in July.
Eve Taylor, BID project executive for the Cathedral Quarter, said: “Free events like this are great for attracting more people to the city centre and helping them to discover more of the Cathedral Quarter’s fantastic independent businesses.”
A map of all the QR code locations can be found on the Dino World Trail app. For those who prefer to plan ahead, a detailed list is also available at https://www.derbycathedralquarter.co.uk/events/dino-world-ar-trail/ .
