Venue’s gesture to NHS workers

The Hairy Dog has announced that it will be giving all NHS workers 50% off future gigs and shows as a mark of respect for the work they do.

The Becket Street-based alternative music venue said that the discount will apply to any event held there, including music gigs, comedy shows and seminars.

In a statement, the venue said: “To show our appreciation and respect for all the hard work and gruelling hours our NHS staff have to endure day in day out, we at The Hairy Dog have decided to offer half price entry to all of our own bookings from this point forward.

“Initially, this will only be available when paying on the door. However, we are in talks with our ticketing company to find the best way to implement this for advance bookings too.

“So, for the time being, if you are an NHS worker, all you need to do is show us your credentials at the ticket booth and you will receive a half price entry.”
