Venue to celebrate five years of comedy club laughs

The Derby Conference Centre is set to celebrate five years of being home to the Derby Comedy Club by hosting some bonus shows during 2024.

Since its launch in 2019, the club has proven a big success – with 2023 being its best year yet, with more than 50% of shows attracting more than 300 people per night.

Derby Comedy Club is produced in association with Dave’s Comedy, one of the UK’s leading live comedy brands.

David Elphick, managing director of Dave’s Comedy,  said “We are so pleased to have provided the talent for Derby Comedy Club and helped organise the shows over the last five years.

“It is an amazing space for live comedy and its reputation among the comedy industry is second to none. It is regarded as the best venue for live comedy in Derby and one of the best in the UK in the comedy circuit.”

To celebrate the anniversary, as well as the club’s monthly shows, it will also host ‘An Evening with Britain’s Talent’, which will see finalists and semi-finalists of Britain’s Got Talent come together for an all-stars evening.

Another bonus show scheduled for July is also in the works.

“Celebrating the fifth year, we hope to have our most successful year yet.”
