Heating technology giant Vaillant Group is celebrating after enjoying success at awards which recognise the region’s top manufacturers.

The firm was named Manufacturer of the Year (Over £25m) at Insider’s Made in the Midlands Awards, which took place earlier this month.

In addition, the company was also shortlisted for the Manufacturing Innovation Award.

In their citation, the judges described Vaillant as a “world class manufacturer” which was “showing real commitment to sustainability and investing serious amounts of money and resources into research and development”.

Earlier this year, the firm, which has its UK headquarters at Belper, announced it was to open a new production site at St. Modwen Park Derby, a brand-new industrial scheme being built by St. Modwen Logistics.

Expected to be open in 2024, the 12,000 square metre unit, which will create more than 200 jobs, will allow Vaillant to meet the increasing demand for heat pumps.
