Triathlon-style event to raise cash for trust’s appeal

Mount Cook Adventure Centre and Derventio Housing Trust have teamed up to launch a fund-raising triathlon-style event.

Taking place on 21 June, Quarry Crusher will challenge teams of four to compete, while solving puzzles and cracking codes along the way.

Starting from the Wirksworth adventure centre, teams will swim, run, cycle and problem solve their way back to the outdoor activity centre to celebrate with drinks.

The event will raise money for Derventio Housing Trust’s Christmas Box appeal – an initiative supported by Derby-based Colleague Box.

Derventio helps house hundreds of people at risk of homelessness across the Midlands – and its Christmas Box campaign means its residents will receive a hamper.

In a statement, Mount Cook said: “This is the ultimate team building event for businesses and charities.

“Create memories and overcome challenges as a team, while raising money for a local charity.”
