Town’s high street revival continues

A newly built retail unit in Ilkeston constructed by Hodgkinson Builders has been let with help from commercial property agents BB&J Commercial.

Hair by Megan has signed a lease on the property in Bath Street, which has undergone a complete fit out.

Oscar Heap, agency surveyor at BB&J, said: “It was great to work with Hodgkinson Builders on the two units at 117 Bath Street.

“We brought the properties to market offering incentives to the new occupiers, and as such we were able to get the units under offer in a matter of weeks.

“It is refreshing to see landlords willing to work with the tenants by offering reduced rents on start up in order to give the business its best chance to flourish.”

Ian Hodgkinson, owner of Hodgkinson Builders, said: “I am honoured to be part of the revival of Ilkeston’s high street, and I am glad we have let the property to Hair by Megan.”
