Themed attraction designer recognised for high standards

Katapult has claimed a world first after gaining a coveted certification for its high standards of social and environmental impact.

According to the firm, it has become the world’s first themed attraction design company to be awarded B Corp Certification.

B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.

In order to achieve certification, a company must demonstrate high social and environmental performance, make a legal commitment by changing its corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, and exhibit transparency by allowing information about its performance to be measured against B Lab’s standards and be made public.

As part of the certification process, Katapult was scored highly for its contributions to its employees’ financial security, health, wellness and safety, economic impact on its community, and its positive impact on the environment.
