Derby Theatre has strengthened ties with a local ice cream business.

The theatre, which is a registered charity, has stocked ice cream from Bluebells Dairy for many years – but recently, the two organisations have agreed a reciprocal marketing approach.

As part of the agreement, Bluebell Dairy renamed two of its popular ice cream flavours to White Rabbit Raspberry Rainbow and Queen of Hearts Jam Tart, to coincide with the recent production of Alice in Wonderland.

Bluebells also donated tubs of the ice cream flavours to Derby Theatre, so every scoop sold during the production directly supported the theatre’s work with young people and communities.

Laura Winson, head of development at Derby Theatre, said: “We’re thrilled to be working in partnership with Bluebell Dairy to support and promote two brilliant local businesses.

“We’re very grateful to Bluebells for choosing to support the theatre with a donation of ice cream.  The team have been so supportive, and it has been lots of fun too.”
