Rothera Bray, YMD Boon, The Berry Group and Innes England are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.

At Rothera Bray, well-known East Midlands corporate lawyer David Kaplan has joined the firm’s Derby office.

Bringing nearly three decades of experience to the firm, his main areas of focus are general M&A, private equity and banking and finance.

He will spearhead the firm’s Derby office, meaning it has a corporate partner in each of its three city offices.

David said: “I am excited to join such an innovative practice and am looking forward to working with my fellow corporate partners in developing further Rothera Bray’s corporate offering in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, while at the same time increasing the reach of Rothera Bray’s other legal services in the Derby marketplace.

“My appointment shows Rothera Bray’s commitment to Derby, and we are very keen to continue with the expansion of the Derby office with further strategic appointments.”

Christina Yardley, chief executive at Rothera Bray, said: “David’s wealth of experience and expertise will be invaluable as we expand our corporate offerings in Derby and beyond. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Rothera Bray family.”

YMD Boon has announced the recent internal appointment of two associate directors.

These promotions reflect the company’s expansion efforts, including the establishment of a new office in Birmingham.

Jonathan King has been promoted to the role of associate director – building surveying.

In his new role, Jonathan will spearhead the development of the Birmingham office while continuing to oversee the building surveying team in Nottingham.

Simone Fearn has been promoted to the role of associate director – finance and operations.

Simone will take on a more hands-on role in managing project finances to ensure efficiency and oversee internal company operations, including quality assurance, marketing, and tendering processes.

Jonathan Warren, director at YMD Boon, said: “YMD Boon prides itself on being a progressive company with a commitment to future talent and both Jonathan and Simone epitomise all the values we look for and we are delighted to acknowledge this with their promotions to associate director.”

Property development company The Berry Group has continued its strategic expansion with the appointment of Leeven Fleet as head of architecture for its INCO Construction and Development Consultants division.

Leeven joins the group from Jackson Design Associates where he spent more than two decades.

He specialises in residential, leisure and commercial design, visualisation, master planning, planning strategy/management and construction.

Sam Berry, director at The Berry Group, said: “We are delighted to have Leeven on board to lead our architectural division.

“His extensive experience and passion for architecture and commitment to design excellence aligns perfectly with our company values.

“Leeven’s appointment will sharpen The Berry Group’s focus on delivering outstanding design and achieving exceptional results for our clients.”

Commercial property agency Innes England has appointed Tori Robins as associate director to strengthen its presence in the East and West Midlands markets.

She will utilise her extensive expertise of property valuation and look to help build the expanding professional team, working alongside directors Steve Holland and Rahul Saini.

Tori is a chartered commercial surveyor and, before moving to Innes England, spent a decade in her last role within the commercial property sector.

Head of department Steve Holland said: “It’s a pleasure to add Tori to our already impressive team.

“Our service is about delivering the highest level of expertise to our clients and Tori’s experience speaks for itself in that regard. I have no doubt that she will excel in her role.”
