Becketwell Live, Nielsen McAllister, Clowes Developments and BSP Consulting are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.

Faye Nixon has joined ASM Global as the head of sales, marketing and guest experience at Becketwell Live, the new £45.8 million performance, events and conferencing venue, which is due to open soon.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be joining ASM Global at Becketwell Live arena.

“I have over 20 years marketing and events experience working in sport. I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise, passion and energy to Becketwell Live and helping to create unforgettable moments for all that come through our doors.

“The variety of performers and events that will be making their way to Derby is so exciting.

“I’m looking forward to helping make Becketwell Live a huge success and something that the city and people of Derby can be proud of.”

PR and communications agency Nielsen McAllister has strengthened its team further, having appointed the former editor of Packaging News, Philip Chadwick, as senior consultant and promoting Hannah Woods to the role of account manager.

Paul has extensive experience in B2B publishing, and has covered the packaging and print market, as a journalist, for over 20 years.

The move enhances Nielsen McAllister’s proven experience of helping clients in the packaging sector.

Meanwhile, Hannah moves to the role of account manager after joining the agency two-and-a-half years ago from university.

Managing director Simon Wildash said: “Hannah’s promotion is well-deserved and reflects her hard work supporting our diverse range of clients, while Phil’s appointment brings even more depth to our expertise in the packaging sector.

“These are exciting times for Nielsen McAllister, and we look forward to continuing our growth through supporting our clients with the best in PR and communication services.”

Property group Clowes Developments has appointed Kevin McFarlane to its board of directors.

Kevin started his career at Clowes as a trainee in 2007. After initially leaving to widen his experience elsewhere, he rejoined the group in 2017.

Since 2020, he has led the company’s asset management department based at Ednaston Park, overseeing the day-to-day and strategic management of the group’s diverse land and property portfolio, with responsibility for identifying and maximising opportunities, while minimising exposure to risk.

Thomas Clowes, managing director at Clowes Developments, said: “This is my first appointment to the board in my role as managing director and I couldn’t think of anyone better.

“Kevin has been responsible for effectively half the group’s value and without him and his team the business simply couldn’t function the way it does.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Kevin push on in his new role and enhancing this critical element of the business.”

And, finally, Jason Davenport has been promoted to director of traffic and transportation at civil and structural engineering company BSP Consulting.

He takes over from one of the founding directors, Mark Rayers, who is stepping back to become a part-time consultant to the business.

Jason, who was previously associate director of transportation at BSP Consulting, joined the company as a transport engineer just a month after it was founded in 1999 and has been a key member of the team ever since.

His expertise includes transport planning, travel plans, transport assessment, access strategy, noise assessments and safety audits.

Jason’s experience ranges across all sectors, having worked on schemes at airports and universities through to supermarkets and housing developments.

Carl Hilton, managing director at BSP, said: “We are very pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Davenport to director of traffic and transportation at BSP Consulting.

“Our ethos is to promote from within wherever possible, which provides our team with opportunities to progress their careers and enables smooth succession planning for the business.

“Jason has been a loyal, experienced and valued part of the team at BSP right from the start and his promotion is very well deserved.

“As one of the founding directors of BSP Consulting, Mark has played a pivotal role in the success of BSP – helping the company to grow to become one of the largest independent civil and structural engineering businesses in the East Midlands.

“We are very pleased that he is staying with us as a part-time consultant and continuing to support the extensive network of clients that we have built up since the business began more than 25 years ago.”
