Forvis Mazars, Salloway Property Consultants, Nelsons and FPA Consulting are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments in recent weeks.

Forvis Mazars, which is a global professional services network, has announced James Gilbey as its next UK chief executive, following a vote by the firm’s partners.

Effective 15 February, James will be responsible for leading a team of over 3,300 people across 14 offices with a remit to lead the firm for a four-year period.

He succeeds Phil Verity who has held the position since 2012.

James Gilbey said: “I am incredibly excited to be taking up this role, and for the support from the partners in my vision for the firm.

“To lead the firm in which I started my career 24 years ago is a privilege and honour, and something that fills me with enormous pride.

“Our partnership model puts us in the best possible position to deliver growth for our business  and exceptional service to our clients.

“That commitment, allied to a belief in our people and a desire to invest still further in them and their capability, gives me great confidence that we can continue to stand Forvis Mazars apart from its competitors both large and small.”

Salloway Property Consultants has announced that Chris Keogh has been appointed a director of the firm.

Chris, who is a chartered surveyor, is in his second spell at Salloways having rejoined the firm in 2020.

Stephen Salloway, managing director at Salloways, said: “Chris has demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic, consistently achieving outstanding results.

“He actively fosters a spirit of teamwork both with colleagues in the office and in the development of business relationships.

“This approach results in a high standard of service delivery to our clients, which fully reflects the core values of our organisation.

“What stands out the most is his exceptional ability to manage both people and projects while at the same time grasping the broader corporate perspective which contributes to the company’s overall success.

“He is an outstanding ambassador for the company and genuinely deserves his promotion.”

Law firm Nelsons has welcomed a new corporate solicitor to its Derby office as part of plans to grow its presence in the city.

Callum Fotheringham specialises in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, shareholder agreements, as well as reorganisation work with a particular focus on tax-driven restructures.

“His joining really shows our commitment to Derby and building our presence; he will be an asset to our team and to the corporate department as a whole.

“He has shown so much potential to progress and I know he will learn so much through exposure from our partners and legal directors. It’s great to have him on board.”
