Team Derby is set to fly the flag for the city at a major real estate event taking place next month.

The team is to attend the UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which will take place in Leeds from Tuesday 20 May to Thursday 22 May, where more than 10,000 people are expected to gather.

Accompanied by members of Derby City Council’s leadership and supported by a number of its Bondholders, the city’s inward investment team at Marketing Derby will highlight investment opportunities and pipeline projects, building upon the high levels of investor interest created at MIPIM in Cannes in March.

Councillor Nadine Peatfield, leader of Derby City Council, said: “It’s really important to keep putting Derby on the investment radar.

“This year, we are doing so on the back of considerable investment momentum with many transformational projects coming to fruition in Derby city centre this summer and significant public and private sector investment in key sectors such as rail, nuclear and low carbon.”

UKREiiF aims to connect people, places and businesses to drive sustainable, inclusive and transformative investment and regeneration.

It brings together the public sector – with every core UK city and region involved – alongside government, investors, funders, developers, housebuilders and more.

Team Derby’s activity will include panels, roundtable discussions and one-to-one meetings.

Marketing Derby is delighted that it is partnering with AtkinsRéalis to deliver its programme at UKREiiF, with events focusing on the impact of public and private investment in Derby’s nuclear sector on the city’s economy and a range of asset classes.

John Forkin, managing director at Marketing Derby, said: “We have created a programme of activity that showcases some of Derby’s sector-based USPs, which will have a significant impact on the city’s, and wider region’s, economy and growth.

“These will be of real interest to investors, developers and property professionals attending UKREiiF this year and we are looking forward to making new connections and having some fruitful discussions.”

Team Derby will also be supporting events being organised by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), which will have its first pavilion at UKREiiF this year, as part of the broader UKREiiF programme showcasing the East Midlands offer. Click here for further information.
