YMCA Derbyshire is urging people to support its Harvest Festival campaign by donating much-needed food, toiletries and other household items.

The appeal aims to help people at risk of homelessness, poverty and social isolation in Derby.

Last year, more than 800 people in need visited the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire Day Centre where 21,000 meals were provided, and 2,500 emergency food parcels handed out.

More than 1,700 toiletry parcels and almost 600 clothing parcels were also distributed.

All of these items were donated by the charity’s supporters during Harvest Festival campaign and throughout the year.

This month, the day centre will be moving to its forever home in Parcel Terrace to become the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire Community Hub.
