Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance is looking for businesses to get involved in a charity football match, which aims to raise funds to tackle food poverty in the city.

Taking place at Moorways Sports Village on 21 September, Footy 4 Thought raises awareness and funds to support people in the community who continue to struggle with the cost-of-living and food insecurity.

DF4TA, which helps through food provision, signposting, education and advice, was initially created to respond to the immediate needs of people in Derby at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

It has now progressed to being a longer-term solution supporting the root causes of deprivation and poverty.

Due to the rising price of food, it needs more support from the business community – and it is now calling on companies to show their support by getting involved in its annual football match.
