Sponsors sought for hospice charity walk

Treetops Hospice is appealing for sponsors to back a charity walk, which will raise much-needed funds to help local people receive end-of -life nursing care.

More than 500 people are expected to take part in the Risley hospice’s Moonlight Walk, which is set to take place on Friday 6 September.

Treetops is inviting businesses of all sizes to benefit by offering several corporate sponsorship opportunities.

For £300, Moonlight Walk Star Sponsors can choose a kilometre point and cheer/entertainment station, while those with a larger budget can sponsor walker’s t-shirts or medals.

Vic Rocca, Treetops’ relationships manager for key events, said: “We know not everyone has a large marketing budget, so we have also created a £48 gift of kindness.

“I am eager to chat with companies who can help by donating water or refreshments.”

Organisations already involved in the Moonlight Walk include Derby Cathedral, East Midlands Railway and Derby County Community Trust.
