Special collection to mark Jubilee

Royal Crown Derby has produced a special collection to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Osmaston Road firm, which for many years has produced special pieces to mark Royal occasions, has put together a luxury three-piece collection to mark the occasion.

It consists of a corgi paperweight and limited-edition gadroon plate and loving cup.

The designs were inspired by Her Majesty’s coronation dress.

Royal Crown Derby’s Lisa Law created the designs to encompass the intricate detailing of the embroidery, the soft silk colour palette and the iconic emblems of the countries of the UK.

She said: “The design and making of the coronation dress has many synergies with Royal Crown Derby making it the perfect inspiration.

“From the initial design concept through to the final hand-decorated piece, our team work closely to craft truly unique fine decorative accessories.

“Taking eight months to develop, the dress required a similar collaborative effort of skilled artists to create the finished piece.”
