School in search for new governors

Derby Cathedral School has launched a search for new governors to reflect its continued growth.

This month, the school, which is in Great Northern Road, will be opening its new Sixth Form.

As a result, the school is looking to add two new members to its governing body – and is inviting people from the Marketing Derby Bondholder community to apply.

The Dean of Derby, the Very Revd Dr Peter Robinson said: “We are happy to receive applications from anyone who is willing to give their time and feels that they can contribute.

“However, we are particularly keen to recruit governors from diverse backgrounds as there are groups on our governing body who are currently under-represented.

“If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a governor, please get in touch.”
