RSPCA Derby & District has secured a high street presence in Ilkeston thanks to a deal done by BB&J Commercial.

The agent strategically negotiated the deal on behalf of its clients, which has resulted in the charity committing to a 10-year lease on premises in Bath Street.

Cameron Godfrey, surveyor at BB&J said: “It is fulfilling to have negotiated and secured a valuable deal for our clients, securing a long-term lease in collaboration with the RSPCA Derby that not only provides a valuable investment for our client but also contributes positively to Ilkeston’s high street growth.”

Lesley Kennedy, retail development manager at the RSPCA Derby, said: “We are delighted to have secured a long-term future in the centre of Ilkeston, with the assistance of BB&J, and look forward to engaging with the community in the months and years ahead.

“As an independent charity, we rely on the fundraising of our shops to ensure the welfare of the animals in our care.”

The shop is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 4.30pm, selling a wide range of second-hand products including clothing, media, electrics and furniture.
