Retro bike race raises hundreds for charity

The directors of architects Morrison Design have raised hundreds of pounds for charity after taking part in a retro bicycle race.
Just before Christmas, David Gardner, Nik Clarke and Peter Newman-Earp took part in the race in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

David won the race riding a BMX, with Nik coming a close second, also riding a BMX. Pete brought up the rear on a Raleigh Chopper.
But the ultimate winner was the charity, with the event raising more than £400 for the Alzheimer’s Society, Morrison’s chosen charity for the year.
In a statement, Morrison Design said: “They all fought hard with the team cheering them on but after an early overtake by Dave he couldn’t be caught.
“The team set the loser a forfeit to dress as Santa for the day.”
