Retailer to launch second store at marina

A family business is expanding at Mercia Marina under the joint leadership of a 17-year-old entrepreneur.

B Well boutique, at the marina, near Willington, was founded by trained aromatherapist and herbalist Sarah Hart in 2019.

It is now branching out by taking on a second unit at the marina, which will house a new arm of the business – home and furniture store JT England – which will be headed up by Sarah’s son Barney Whitworth.

It is taking the store formerly occupied by Elegant Touch Beauty, which is moving into the adjacent two-storey unit previously occupied by the furniture store Zing.

Robert Neff, general manager at Mercia Marina, said: “The new store will be yet another great asset to the marina.

“JT England’s home offering will be a fantastic boost for customers, particularly those who enjoyed shopping at Zing.

“Mercia Marina is home to some amazing independent retailers and this new store will be a very welcome addition to the retail village. We wish Barney and Sarah the best of luck with their new venture.”
