Flexible office operator Cubo is celebrating after achieving a record month in terms of the number of desk spaces sold.

The firm, which opened its first site in Derby in 2020, broke its own month-on-month record by completing more than 600 new desk deals in April.

Cubo was founded by property investors Marc and Becky Brough in March 2020 and now operates 11 workspaces across the UK.

Plans are underway to almost double its footprint nationally, a growth strategy backed by investment firm Literacy Capital plc.

Second workspaces have been launched in Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and Derby and a new site in Glasgow is set to open on 1 June.

Marc said: “We are delighted but not completely surprised at these latest figures – a combination of controlling the best in class, grade A locations in the UK’s top performing cities, together with an unbelievable sales and operation team, is now delivering the level of results which I feel confident will outperform all other operators on a like-for-like basis.

“In addition, our new site in Glasgow and second sites in Derby, Birmingham and Leeds are all set to hit full occupancy within weeks of each site opening.

“This is a clear indication that the occupier market remains fixed on quality of space.”
