An image captured by MiniAperture Photography of Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium has been adopted by the club for encapsulating its philosophy.

The drone image has so far been used by the Rams for a variety of purposes, including media backdrops, a season ticket campaign and the club’s app.
Laura Firth, of MiniAperture, took the image as part of a project to capture iconic areas and buildings around Derby.

To say thank you, the club invited Laura and her family to a recent home game, where they met some of the players and were given a goodie bag of merchandise.

Dave Biggar, chief commercial officer at Derby County, said: “When searching through a myriad of images that conveyed Derby County’s relevance to the city, its surroundings, and population, we were presented with Laura’s otherworldly photography, which dramatically encapsulated the club’s ‘One Club. Resilient. Together. We Are Derby’ philosophy.”

Laura said: “Although I’ve never been a close follower of football, I was very moved by the fans’ and the city’s reaction when the club was facing administration.

“It was clear to see how much Derby County means to so many, and it made me feel immense pride to be born and bred in the same city.

“When the club told me that they wanted to use my photo in so many places, to say I felt humbled was a huge understatement.

“They’ve gone above and beyond to show their gratitude and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
