QUAD announces new chief executive

QUAD has revealed the identity of its new chief executive.

The mixed arts venue in the Market Place has announced that Eleanor Thornley will take up the post following a recent recruitment process.

She will join QUAD from Broadway, in Nottingham, where she has been the head of Film Hub Midlands for the past six years.

Eleanor will take up the chief executive role from 22 July following a short transition period.

Mark Gregory, chair of the QUAD board, said: “The board wishes Eleanor every success within her new role at QUAD and have full confidence that she will lead, support, and inspire continued progress in a time of change for the charity.”

Eleanor said: “It is a privilege to be joining QUAD and to work with its dedicated and experienced team at this vital time.

“I am so excited to get started and continue to open up a world of art and film at the heart of Derby’s cultural life.”
