The boss of training firm EMA Training has spoken of her delight following the official opening of the company’s new high-tech premises.

The firm has taken over a neighbouring property in Siddals Road, formerly home to the Derby Telegraph, and converted it into a state-of-the-art digital hub.

And at a recent open day, held as part of the official opening performed by businesswoman Eileen Richards MBE, visitors were invited to use virtual reality headsets to access a pioneering career discovery platform, which provided information about careers to suit their personality.

The expansion comes after EMA Training grew from 10 members of staff to 30 in just two years.

Chief executive Tracey Mosley said: “We were thrilled to finally throw open the doors of our brand-new digital hub in the heart of Derby city centre.

“We have invested £75,000 in upgrading this office space, with break-out areas, exam suites and networking facilities, which shows our commitment to the city and in keeping our learners local.

“We have worked hard to create a collaborative, innovative working space that supports the new hybrid way of working and which will allow us to form more long-term partnerships in the region and in turn make a meaningful impact on our students and the local business community.

“People are at the heart of everything we do and investing in this office space allows us to nurture those professional working relationships and invest in the emerging and existing talents of our young people.”
