Private equity firm shortlisted for dealmaker awards

Private equity investor LDC has been shortlisted for awards which recognise the best dealmakers in the region.

LDC, which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, has made the shortlists for the Midlands Dealmakers Awards, which are organised by Insider.

It has been named as a finalist in the Funder of the Year category.

Meanwhile, in the Deal of the Year (£10 million to £50 million) category, LDC’s investment in Integrated Doorset Solutions is shortlisted, as is the sale of Magma to Dains.

And Chris Handy, of LDC, is a finalist in the Dealmaker of the Year category.

Insider editor Kurt Jacobs, who chaired the judging session, said: “Coming up with winners and shortlists for this year’s awards was a huge undertaking for the judges, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to them.

“In some categories the judges had to contend with almost 40 individual entries.”

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Birmingham on 12 September.
