Planning consultancy shortlisted for regional award

Planning & Design Practice is celebrating after being shortlisted for regional awards, recognising the best plans, people and projects.

The firm has been named as finalist in the Best Project category at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) East Midlands Awards for Planning Excellence 2024.

P&DP’s nomination is for the planning consultancy work it carried out for hospitality company Wildhive after it acquired Callow Hall, near Ashbourne.

The firm has since transformed the fading 16-bedroom country house hotel, with P&DP assisting with securing planning permission for a number of distinct elements of the buildings – and the creation of 11 woodland “hives”.

Known as “Wildhives”, they have been create in the ancient woodland adjacent to the hall.

The East Midlands winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Nottingham on Wednesday 26 June.

Regional winners will then be put forward for the national awards, which take place in London on 26 November.
