Places still available for charity abseil

There is still time to sign up to a sponsored abseil down Derby Cathedral which will raise money for the Derby and Burton Hospital’s Charity.

Taking place on Saturday 17 August, participants will be challenged to ascend the 189 steps to reach the summit of the cathedral’s iconic tower.

Once at the top, they will be able to take in panoramic views of the city before being securely harnessed and abseiling 212 ft back down.

Places are available between 8am and 5pm. It costs £20 to register and all participants are requested to raise a minimum of £100 each through sponsorship.

All money raised will go to Burton and Derby Hospitals Charity – and will contribute to making a difference for patients and staff being cared for and working across Derby, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
