Partner re-joins law firm
Geldards has appointed a new partner to head up a team that provides legal services to the utilities sector.
Jay Atubra has re-joined the law firm to head up its networks team, who work closely with electricity operators, water suppliers and gas transporters, as well as fibre-optic broadband utilities network providers.
She takes over from Jamie Gordon, who has retired from the position – but will remain at Geldards in a consultancy role, working closely with Jay, who joins from Knights where she was partner in the asset management team.
Jay, who previously worked at Geldards in the commercial property team, said: “I am delighted to be re-joining Geldards. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the firm earlier in my career and am thrilled to be following on from Jamie to continue the success of the networks team.
“Geldards and Jamie have built a successful and highly specialist team and I look forward to continuing the development of our specialist connections service that is such a critical factor to all our clients.”
Chief executive Jeff Pearson said: “We are pleased to welcome Jay back as our new head of networks.
“Her breadth of experience and depth of knowledge are a real asset to the firm.”
