Panto up for a trio of awards

A Christmas pantomime organised by Derby LIVE, which took place at Derby Arena, has been shortlisted for three national awards.

Mother Goose, which was staged by Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment, has been named as a finalist at the The UK Pantomime Association Pantomime Awards 2024.

It is up for Best Costume Design and Best Pantomime for a venue with over 900 seats, while the show’s Ben Tanner is up for Best Supporting Artist.

Councillor Nadine Peatfield, cabinet member for city centre, regeneration, culture and tourism at Derby City Council, said: “I’m so proud of our wonderful Derby LIVE team and production partners, Little Wolf Entertainment.

“To be nominated for three awards is such an achievement and is a real testament to the talents of everyone involved.

“Every year, the pantomime is the pinnacle of our festive offer and it’s fantastic to see this recognised on the national stage.”

The winners will be announced on 18 June.
