Orchestra in search for new board members

Sinfonia Viva is appealing to Marketing Derby Bondholders to join its board of trustees and bring their business acumen to help develop its offer across the region.

The Derby-based orchestra is seeking new board members to enhance the current skills of the charity’s directors, and to help drive the organisation forward as a creative and musical force within the East Midlands.

Sinfonia Viva is particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in the areas of finance, marketing, health and wellbeing and education and those who have a strong network of contacts who are able to broker introductions and act as advocates for the orchestra.

Chief executive Lucy Galliard said: “Sinfonia Viva has been a key part of the cultural life of the East Midlands for over 40 years, successfully navigating the significant changes that have taken place within our sector, and across the region.

“We are seeking new board members to support our future development and ensure that we remain not only at the fore of the cultural life of the region but become an even more relevant and sustainable organisation ensuring as many people as possible have the opportunity to benefit from our work.”
