Nominations sought for voluntary sector awards

Community Action Derby is inviting nominations for awards, which recognise those working in the city’s voluntary sector.
Nominations are now open for the Derby Voluntary Sector Awards 2025, which are organised by CA Derby, with support from Derby Homes.

People are invited to nominate the volunteers, community champions and initiatives that have made a positive difference to them, or to their community.
For 2025, there are 15 award categories, offering a wide range of opportunities to celebrate individuals, groups, charities, clubs, events and other community schemes.
The winners will be invited to attend a glitzy awards ceremony during Volunteers’ Week in June.
Kim Harper, chief executive of CA Derby, said: “As an organisation, we strive to encourage, support and develop the individuals, groups and organisations that make up Derby’s thriving voluntary sector, and these awards are a great way to do that.
“We hope lots of people will seize this opportunity to celebrate those who give a lot for the communities of Derby.”
