New podcast launched celebrating Derby and Derbyshire

The owner of Pepper Dawes Media has launched a new podcast specifically for Derby and Derbyshire.

Former BBC Radio Derby presenter Sally Pepper is using her vast broadcasting experience to produce and present the new weekly podcast called Truly Madly Derby.

The podcast is an hour-long weekly mini radio show celebrating Derby and Derbyshire, with the voices of those who love it and live it.

Launched last Friday, the podcast is available on all major podcast apps, including Apple, Spotify and Acast.

Sally said: “I can’t escape broadcasting too long, because I’ve done it all of my life.

“I can’t talk to a wall at home – I want to know that someone is listening. I’m so passionate about Derby and Derbyshire – I’m a Derbyshire lass through and through.

“It is time we had a positive media platform for everyone to use and enjoy – it is about celebrating everything about Derby and Derbyshire and getting lots of good voices on, shouting about what we’re doing.

“In fact, you may recognise some of those voices from my BBC days who wanted to come with me.”

Truly, Madly, Derby will not only be available as an hour-long weekly podcast online, but it will also be broadcast on North Derbyshire Radio every Friday at 6pm and Erewash Sound every Sunday 7am and 7pm.

Sally said: “It has been fantastic to join forces with these two community-minded Derbyshire radio stations.

“We are on the same page, and all have a passion to create great programmes that celebrate where we live for the people who love it.”

Truly, Madly, Derby will feature different local voices from businesses, charities and communities, celebrating the city and the county.
