Visit Derby has published the latest edition of a new digital interactive guide, which has been designed to make it easier for people to find out about the many events happening in Derby.

The What’s On Derby Guide lists events taking place at locations across the city all in one place.

It includes events being held at a host of venues, including Derby Museums, QUAD, Derby Theatre, Derby Arena.

Users can click on any event and be taken through to web pages where they can find out more information and book tickets.

The latest edition covers the period between October and December – and therefore includes a wide selection of festive events planned for Derby.

The guide includes five ‘top picks’ happening in Derby over the coming months – Derby Folk Festival, Derby Film Festival, Derby Book Festival’s Autumn Edition, The Sadler Gate Night Market and Festive Derby.

There is also a section about events taking place across the county.

Back in the city, the guide provides a list of Derby’s most popular places and attractions, some of the best places to eat and drink and the top places offering experiences.

Finally, the guide includes a map of the city centre to help people find these places of interest.

Marketing Derby Bondholders are being urged to download the guide and encourage their workforces to do the same.

Rob Gorton is chair of the Destination Derby Board. which drives forward ideas to boost the city’s visitor economy – and also senior manager for corporate planning and external affairs at Toyota Manufacturing UK.

He said: “Since I started chairing the board, I have been incredibly impressed by just how much great activity is happening in Derby – much of which can go under the radar, since many organisations in the sector have limited resources to promote their activities by themselves.

“Raising awareness of this activity is essential to develop Derby’s potential as a vibrant and exciting destination, and as a fantastic place to work, study, and live.

“As a board, we want to take every opportunity to shout about what’s happening in the city, so we have worked with Visit Derby to create the new digital “What’s on in Derby?” guide.

“It’s already started circulating within our own workforces with a really positive reception.

“I hope you’ll find it as inspiring as I have. Please share it within your own networks and help to raise the profile of all the organisations, venues, events and activities which help make our city great.”
