New acts added to city music extravaganza

Derby LIVE has announced more new acts for a music extravaganza which is set to take place in the city this summer.

The first ever TK Maxx presents Derby Summer Sessions festival is due to take place at Markeaton Park in July.

New names who have been added to the bill include Jax Jones and Caity Baser, who will join headliner Becky Hill on 12 July.

Meanwhile, The Selecter and Kezia Gill will join pop legend Tom Jones and Gabrielle on 13 July.

A stunning long weekend of music will be rounded off on 14 July by music icons Madness.

The ska legends are joined on the bill by pop sensation Rick Astley, The Lightning Seeds and Deco.

Councillor Nadine Peatfield, Derby City Council’s cabinet member for city centre, regeneration, culture and tourism, said: “The latest announcement of acts performing at the inaugural TK Maxx presents Derby Summer Sessions bolsters what is already a fantastic line-up of world class musical talent.

“Residents and visitors alike are sure to flock to Markeaton Park to enjoy a weekend of great live music this summer.”
