More than 200 delegates have signed up to attend the Derby Property Summit 2024 within the first 24 hours of the event being advertised.

Organised by Marketing Derby, the Queen’s Award-winning investment promotion agency, this year’s event – backed by headline partner law firm Smith Partnership – will take place on Wednesday 10 July, at Reach Events, on Pride Park.

A top line-up of keynote speakers and panellists are being assembled for the event, which this year is called ‘This Must Be the Place’.

Among them will be Samantha McClary, editor of the EG (formerly Estates Gazette), which provides data, news and analytics for the UK commercial property market.

John Forkin, managing director of Marketing Derby, said: “We are very much looking forward to this year’s Derby Property Summit and are in the process of assembling a stellar line-up of keynote speakers and panellists.

“We are particularly delighted to be welcoming EG’s Samantha McClary this year, who will provide some valuable insight into the current market, future trends – and the role Derby has to play in all of this.”

Regarded as the region’s largest property investment insight seminar, the Derby Property Summit will build upon the strong investor interest created at MIPIM, in Cannes, earlier this year and the recently held UKREiiF real estate event, which was held in Leeds.

As in previous years, the event, which will once again be expertly chaired by the highly respected business journalist Declan Curry, will give an insight into Derby’s investment credentials and key schemes alongside reflection on some of the key issues shaping the property investment sector.

A particular focus for this year’s property summit will be projects in the city centre, some of which are due to come online in 2025, billed as Derby’s ‘olympic year’.

There will also be an exhibition of the visions for regeneration projects by architecture students from the University of Derby – a feature of the summit which always ‘wows’ guests on the day.

In addition to Smith Partnership as headline partner, this year’s summit is also backed by brand partners AtkinsRéalis, Compendium Living, ION Developments and Vinci Developments UK.

Partnership opportunities are still available for this year’s summit. If you’d like to be part of the event, contact Adam Rodgers at adam.rodgers@marketingderby.co.uk.
