More firms sign up to offer ‘Hope’
Marketing Derby Bondholders, including Penguin PR and HSG, have backed a charity initiative, which aims to support families dealing with a life-limiting diagnosis.
Earlier this year, the me&dee charity launched the scheme, which allows businesses to give families ‘Hope’ – a special keepsake elephant with a voice recorder in the zip-up pouch contained in its ear, which can be used to record poignant last messages of loved ones, often children.
The device allows families with a potentially life-limiting diagnosis to record the voice of a loved one, providing huge comfort in times of bereavement.
Since the launch, a number of firms have come on board to sponsor the adorable elephant.
Simon Rice, managing director of sustainable washroom specialists HSG, said: “Sponsoring a Hope the elephant was a no-brainer for us. The me&dee charity does amazing work supporting hundreds of families in their hour of need and it seems a small price to pay for giving people comfort when they are facing the worst.”
