Marina’s clothing stores announce merger
A ladies’ fashion store at Mercia Marina has moved to neighbouring premises as part of a merger with its sister brand.
White Finn owner Rachel Robinson said business was booming since the recent relocation of her fashion store to a new unit at the marina, near Willington.
The shop, which sells ladieswear and accessories, has now merged with another of the marina’s long-standing fashion stores, Blue Water Clothing, which is run by her husband Steve.
The couple, both from Findern, have decided to merge the businesses rather than remain as rivals at the marina’s popular Boardwalk retail and leisure development.
As a result, White Finn will be stocking a variety of brands that had previously been exclusive to Blue Water.
Robert Neff, general manager at Mercia Marina, said: “We’ve had an extremely busy few months at the marina, not just with visitors and boaters but with the very positive changes we’ve seen on the retail side.
“It’s fantastic to see that Rachel and Steve have combined their businesses under one roof and still remain here as one of Mercia’s original businesses, highly valued by customers old and new.”
