Manufacturer hails its formidable females

Medical technology manufacturer Pennine Healthcare has been saluting the invaluable contribution women make to the business.

Last week, to celebrate International Women’s Day, all 114 female employees at the Derby firm were presented with care packages as a token of appreciation.

More than 65% of employees at Pennine are female. Women also make up half of the firm’s senior leadership team.

According to Pennine, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for women is embedded in the company’s culture.

Dan Wilson, head of marketing and communications at Pennine, said: “International Women’s Day is all about driving gender parity, and here at Pennine, we run several initiatives to make sure this message really hits home.

“Whether it’s the launch of our Menopause Champions, or the number of key women within our workforce, we support International Women’s Day and its mission to accelerate women’s equality.”
