Law firm Geldards is celebrating 10 years of support for the Derby Book Festival.

The firm is once again backing the annual literary celebration, which this year runs from 30 May to 5 June, featuring 100 book-related events, including including writers’ talks, children’s storytelling sessions, workshops and a host of other creative events helping to bring books to life.

Derby Book Festival is funded by the University of Derby, Arts Council England, and local business sponsors.

Having backed the festival since its inception a decade ago, this year’s the firm will sponsor writer talks involving award-winning Guardian journalist Polly Toynbee, LBC Radio host James O’Brien and Mick Conefrey.

Geldards’ chairman David Williams said: “It’s hard to believe that Geldards has been supporting Derby Book Festival for a whole decade.

“It plays an important role in Derby’s cultural calendar, attracting visitors to the city and celebrating our diverse and talented literary community.

“Geldards is pleased to be supporting such a wide variety of writers’ discussions, bringing to life some very pertinent and stimulating topics.”
