Treetops Hospice has announced that law firm Rothera Bray will be sponsoring its 2025 Christmas tree recycling initiative.

The end-of-life charity’s annual ‘Christmas Treecycling’ service sees volunteers from local businesses collect Christmas trees from driveways and take them to recycling points, provided courtesy of Ward Recycling, in exchange for cash, which supports the work of the Risley hospice.

Last time, Treetops recycled more than 1,000 trees and raised over £18,000, helping more than 166 patients receive a night of hospice at home care.

Vic Rocca, relationships manager for key events at Treetops, said: “Rothera Bray’s support means we can provide more care from the money we raise from Treecycling 2025. We are so grateful to them.

“Treecycling is a celebration of local businesses and how they support charity and the environment.

“We just couldn’t run the scheme, recycle the trees and raise the funds for Treetops without them.”

The service will operate from 7 to 9 January in Derbyshire and neighbouring areas of Nottinghamshire.
