Law firm backs Derby Property Summit 2024
Marketing Derby is proud to announce that law firm Smith Partnership is the headline partner for the forthcoming Derby Property Summit 2024.
Organised by the Queen’s Award-winning inward investment promotion agency it will take place on Wednesday 10 July, at Reach Events, on Pride Park.
Entitled ‘This Must Be the Place’, it will feature a top line-up of keynote speakers and panellists.
Among them will be Samantha McClary, editor of the EG (formerly Estates Gazette), which provides data, news and analytics for the UK commercial property market and high street expert Ojay McDonald, chief executive of the Association of Town and City Management.
Also taking the stage will be East Midlands Mayor Claire Ward, as well as Rob Bence and Rob Dix from The Property Hub, a popular podcast, aimed at property investors.
Almost 300 people have already signed up to this year’s summit, which will once again be expertly chaired by the highly respected business journalist Declan Curry.
It will give an insight into Derby’s investment credentials and key schemes alongside reflection on some of the key issues shaping the property investment sector.
A particular focus for this year’s property summit will be projects in the city centre, some of which are due to come online in 2025, billed as Derby’s ‘olympic year’.
For many years now, Smith Partnership has been a strong supporter of Derby – and activities designed to attract more investment that can help make the city a better place to live, work and play.
With its main base in Derby – and with other offices in the Midlands region – the firm’s team provides a full range of legal services to business clients, including household name companies and to individual private clients.
Danielle Upton, partner in commercial property at Smith Partnership, said: “We are proud to once again be sponsoring the Derby Property Summit.
“The regeneration and growth of Derby, both in terms of the exciting developments happening around the city and the economy, are important to those who work and live in Derby and the surrounding areas.
“Supporting Derby and being actively involved in projects across the city is therefore very important to us.”
