Latest sponsor is the perfect fit for DIS

A running store renowned for its knowledge of sports shoes has become the latest business to back the work of Derbyshire Institute of Sport.

The Derby Runner has become a new sponsor at DIS, an organisation which helps talented local athletes take the right steps towards fulfilling their sporting aspirations.

The running store has been providing footwear for runners of all ages and levels since 1988 and is one of the original running-specialist retailers in the UK.

Over the past 35 years, the business has become established as go-to experts for running footwear.

It has been heavily involved in the local running scene for decades, supporting and sponsoring local athletes and races, as well as kitting out many thousands of local runners.

DIS works with Derbyshire athletes in a range of sports, providing the support, mentoring and training that they need to help them develop their skills and fulfil their potential.

Heavily subsidised by sponsorship from local businesses, its programmes provide access to the kind of world-class support that would otherwise be out of reach for most.
