Global IT firm Bam Boom Cloud is set to officially open its new headquarters in Derby city centre.

Tomorrow, it is set to hold an event at its brand-new base in the Wardwick, with Mayor of Derby, Councillor Robin Wood, set to officially declare the building open for business.

The event will showcase the history of the building, as well as revealing the extensive renovations that have created Bam Boom Cloud’s modern and innovative new workspace.

The previously empty building has been completely redesigned and renovated with support from Marketing Derby and Derby City Council.

There is now a ground floor social and events space, complete with staff bar and DJ booth.

The first floor accommodates hot desks, and the top floor comprises call pods, breakout areas and meeting rooms.

Executive chairman Brett Critchley said: “The buzz throughout our business since we moved in is infectious.

“We are going to do our best to support as many small businesses as we can and encourage everyone else to do the same.

“We will eat local, buy local and stay local. We all owe it to our communities post-pandemic.

“The support we have had from Derby City Council and Marketing Derby has been incredible and we are so grateful for all of the help we have had to make our vision come to life.

“We can’t wait to show everyone around our new home.”

Following its management buyout in March, 2021, Bam Boom Cloud has gone from strength to strength, expanding from 90 to 120 employees in less than a year.

Chief executive Vicky Critchley said: “Our business began in Derby so there was no question over where our global HQ would be located.

“Our team love the additional benefits of being located in the city centre, and we can’t wait to welcome our global colleagues to this great city!”

The firm is inviting the press to view its new office from 4pm onwards. Opening speeches will then take place from 5.30pm.
