Managed IT support and cybersecurity specialists Ashgates IT has announced it has merged with an accountancy and professional services group.

The Pride Park-based firm has partnered with DJH, which has 10 offices across the Midlands, North-West and Yorkshire.

According to Ashgates, the partnership provides further opportunity to invest in the learning and development of its team and, with additional operational support provided by DJH, help it stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing world of technology, expanding the expert advice it can offer.

The accountancy team at Ashgates will merge with DJH, providing both businesses with access to additional specialist services, including R&D, capital allowances, commercial funding, dedicated corporate finance, estate planning, and HR.

The Ashgates IT brand will be retained, as will the firm’s offices in Prospect Place, on Pride Park.

Jon Woliter will continue to head up Ashgates IT, supporting clients with IT solutions.

He said: “It’s fantastic to announce the merger with DJH, a company who share the same values as ourselves.

“The partnership helps to strengthen our business support, which ensures our continued growth, helping to create greater opportunities for our business, our team and most importantly, our clients.”

Scott Heath, chief executive at DJH, said: “Ashgates is a great cultural fit, sharing our team-first, client-centric approach.

“Their IT support and solutions team further expands the specialist services we can offer across the group, creating further opportunities for both our teams and our clients.”
