A site at a Derbyshire industrial estate has been snapped up by an investor for £2 million.

The 2.52-acre site at Pye Bridge Industrial Estate, at Alfreton, features 29,500 sq ft of accommodation.

According to agents BB&J Commercial, which secured the deal, the site provides an opportunity for long-term redevelopment, subject to planning consents.

Mark Richardson, partner at BB&J Commercial, said: “This is an outstanding investment.

“There has been a distinct lack of freehold investment opportunities coming to market over recent years so the opportunity to acquire this one with such a strong tenant generated a lot of interest from a variety of potential purchasers.

“The market for this type of stock remains strong and the industrial property sector has generally been the one that keeps performing regardless of changes and differing demand in other types of property.

“As such we have a good list of potential investors on the lookout to add this type of stock to their portfolio.”
